Heat Wave

We had quite the heat wave here last week. We broke all kinds of records and the peak of the heat measured 106 degrees. That's hot. AC is not common around here (there is usually only one week in August you might want it) so we were sweating it out. The stores sold out of fans, AC units, and kiddie pools. This is how we tried to stay cool.

We went to the lake! Some shade and a breeze goes a long way!

"Grandpa" Earl (our cousin's other grandpa) took us out on his boat. It was great fun. I tried to water ski. No luck.

We spent most of the time naked. I was just too dang hot to wear anything.

We spent lots of time out on the porch swing.

We are back to normal temperatures where humans can thrive. It was real, it was not fun, and it was definitely not real fun.

Your heat has moved our way and we are sweating it out now. I hope it's over soon as we don't have AC either. We are spending all day in our basement! Glad you guys are doing well and hope to see you back over here soon.
