Birthday Boy!

Today is Griffin's birthday! Happy birthday my little man. Since we had the big party on Saturday today was low key. But we did take the kids out to lunch and to the mall play space for something other than the norm.

Lunch at McDonald's.

Playing at the mall.

Griffin is such a happy boy, he always has been. He is a momma's boy and loves to watch his crazy sister. Griffin loved the "La la lu" song from Lady and the Tramp but now he loves Twinkle Twinkle Little Star. We used to call him scooter because he army crawled for a month before he got up on his knees. He has taken a few steps on his own but is very content with letting mommy carry him everywhere. He loves cheese (must be his mother's child). He looks JUST like his dad. Griffin is not a good sleeper (he did Not get that from his mom). Griffin has 4 teeth and is about 22 lbs. He now has a forward facing car seat and loves this new world. Griffin's favorite toy for a while was a pink princess wand. :) We sure love this little boy and can't believe that he is already one year old. What a great addition to our little family. Happy Birthday Griffin!

Birthday Party

Sterling's parents came from Spokane to celebrate Griffin's birthday so we had a party for him on Saturday.

The mom and the birthday boy.

The party animals.

The theme was jungle and I made a snake cake. It was a hit.

Mesha admiring my work (aka wishing she could eat it NOW).

Slithers the snake.

The big boy eating his cake.

This was not tampered with in any way or shape. This occurred by itself. And it is hilarious.

Happy birthday little Griff! We love you!

Family Fun Day

We had a day of family fun. We started with a visit to the troll under the bridge. It really freaked Mesha out, she didn't want to go near it. We made her sit on it anyway. Bad parenting? It's a fine line.

Then we had a picnic in the car (that's what you do when it's raining).

Dad and Griff.

Mesha took us for a little spin.
To end family fun day Seattle edition we went to Kerry Park on top of Queen Anne Hill. Beautiful! Even on a grey day. Mesha found the mud before you could say 'Bob's your uncle' and had to ride home half naked. But she wouldn't be Mesha any other way.

Miss muddy knees.

Phone Photos

I just recently got all my photos off my phone and put them on my computer. Some of them are a blast from the past and I couldn't resist blogging them!
Warning: I'm not done, I'll do more later (certain children of mine need me to put them to bed right now...)

Tomorrow

Earlier this week my sister and I made plans to take our kids swimming at the local pool this Saturday. Friday MORNING a certain husband of mine -who shall remain unnamed- told Mesha she was going swimming with cousins tomorrow. Mesha has a mind like a steel trap when it comes to us promising things she wants. I told this husband that he shouldn't tell her things until the day of because she doesn't understand the concept of 'tomorrow' and I don't want to deal with the consequences. What consequences? These consequences...

New Tricks

Griffin is a sweet boy.
And he is getting very big. His first birthday is almost here! Griffin is well on his way to walking and has a new trick to help him practice!

Headbands

Aunt Laura has a bunch of headbands that Mesha loves to play with. She goes into Laura's room, collects a few, and hands them out for us to wear. Silly Smiths.
