Connecticut

We are moving to Connecticut. Crazy right? I admit, I had to learn how to spell it...there is a c I didn't know was there. We won't be going until Sterling is done with training in late July. I am pretty excited to move on in life finally. This will be an adventure.

Crazy Animals and Wild Animals

We went to the zoo with our Iowa cousins today (yay for our Iowa cousins!). On our way there it was pouring rain but it was actually really nice once we got there.

Digging up a turtle.

It's Dori!!!

Shark attack.

Griff got a new shirt from aunt Katie. Go Brasil!

Looking at the seals.

Birds of a feather flock together.

Thanks for the fun day cousins! Iowan zoo passes rock!

Summer is Here!

Summer is here! For now that is (you can never really count on it in Seattle...). We try to enjoy it while we can. Don't you just love sidewalk chalk?

Goodbye Daddy

Sterling left for training yesterday. I took the kids to my mom's house for the duration. It is great to finally be employed and have a job. It is nice that the waiting game is done and things are happening. It has been fun living with and being close to family.
(But I already miss Sterling like crazy and I feel bad for my poor Daddyless children.)

Hair

I gave Griffin another haircut (so that I wouldn't have to haul the clippers around this summer) and Sterling suggested I use the #1 (the shortest one). So it is Sterling's fault. Griffin still manages to look handsome despite his parents efforts to make him look like an orphan.(You wouldn't believe how hard it was to get a picture of the back of this kid's head, talk about always up in your business!)

After seeing Griffin get his hair cut, Mesha insisted that she did as well. I had to talk her out of using the clippers (a #8 just isn't long enough me for me!). Here are the results!

(Please excuse the nudity and the orange stain on Mesha's face, thank you Mo-Tang.)

After

And a 'done up' view.
I am not so impressed with my hair cutting abilities this time around but I hope I get better with practice.

Silly Boy

Griffin is very one (year old). He gets into everything and lets you know what's what around here. Sterling has been renovating his parents bathroom while waiting for his job to start and Griffin INSISTS on "helping".
Yesterday we took the kids the the carousel downtown. While we were looking at ducks outside, Griffin noticed some popcorn INSIDE and had to have it. There was screaming, kicking, flailing, head banging, etc. It was so funny. The boy just wanted that dang piece of popcorn! Can you see the red mark on his forehead from trying to force himself through the glass? Silly boy.
