Dancing

When Mesha was a few months younger her style of dancing was sort of a bounce with the occasional stomp. She has now graduated to a new style that includes running, spinning, some clapping, and a lot of what I call "crazy go nuts". Here is a video so you can see what I mean.

Thank You Grandma and Grandpa!

Mesha LOVES her new manger toy. She tends to play with the animals and the baby the most. She also loves the angel and the music. Thank you so much!

High Heels

What a girly girl. And she even knows how to coordinate an outfit.

Ward Christmas Party

We had our ward Christmas party this last weekend. Mesha had fun running around like a maniac with the rest of the kids. I had fun not making dinner. We had a good time.

This is as close to singing with the primary kids as Mesha got. She stood there for about 4.2 seconds. Oh well.

A family picture. Isn't my husband cute? This was at the very end of the night, that's why Mesha looks like a zombie.
And of course Mesha met Santa again. Not a lot has changed from last year. What can you do?

29 Weeks

Kierstin = House. But I can't complain. My worst pregnancy symptom is a super active baby (and that's something I love to suffer through). I've been sleeping better lately so I have to give this pregnancy a big thumbs up.

Christmas!

We got a fancy artificial tree this year (to last many years to come!). It is beautiful! And it is huge. It barely fits in our little apartment but I love it. Thank you Costco. Mesha loves it and can't keep her hands off it. We had to put the more sturdy ornaments on the bottom 3 feet so little miss won't destroy my keepsakes.

Our ornaments for 2008 are these cute snowmen that I found at CUW (California Utah Women). So cute huh? They just clip onto a branch and sit on top of it. Sterling's is the one with the top hat, Mesha's the one with earmuffs, and mine the one with the ear-flap hat.

Temple Lights

While we were in Arizona we went to see the lights at the Mesa Temple. I've done the SLC temple lots of times so it was fun to see something different. I really liked the dressed up palm trees. It was a lot warmer than SLC too, you could walk around for more than 20 minutes and still feel your appendages. Here are some pictures of our outing.

Lots of little trees all different colors.

Our little family.

A blue palm tree (something you don't see in Salt Lake).

Mesha loved to touch the lights.

Mr. and Mrs. Smith (I love self taken photos).

Thanksgiving!

For the Thanksgiving weekend we drove to Arizona to celebrate with Sterling's brother Spencer and his new wife Corissa. Corissa made us a fabulous dinner and we had a lot of fun being with family.

Eating dinner. Spencer, Jacob, Kierstin, Sterling, Mesha, and Nicole.

The Smith post dinner lounge. Mesha, Sterling, Kierstin, Jacob, Spencer, and Corissa.

To keep herself happy and occupied Mesha watched a million episodes of her Baby Einstein movies. Apparently sitting on the couch was too far away for Mesha to enjoy the full effect of Spencer's large TV. I think she is addicted, how about you?

Mom's Shoes

Mesha is a girly girl. She loves shoes. And she is learning to put them on. Mom's shoes are the easiest and make for the best picture.
Here she is trying to walk in them. I will have to get a video of her in her play dress up high heels, it's pretty cute.

100 Days and 20 Months

I have reached 100 days to go until this baby is due. I can't believe I still have 100 freaking days to go. The last 10 weeks or so have been great but I am now starting to get to the point where I am fat enough to be uncomfortable. And it gets exponentially worse from here. But here is my silver lining: I will take uncomfortably fat and all that comes with it any day of the week over the sickness of the first trimester.

Here is my reminder of what all this is for. My Mesha is 20 months old today. I don't know how she got to be so big. I'm so grateful for my little girl. She really does make my days fun and full of challenge. If she has blessed my life this much I can't wait to add a little baby boy to the mix and see what joy will come then.

Mesha Likes Ranch Dressing

It's true. Can you blame her?

First Baby Boy Outfit

I've bought my first little outfit for my baby boy today. Yay for clearance racks! The onesie was $2 and the Carters bibs were $4. But here is why I am so excited about them. I am having a hard time liking boy clothes. They just aren't as cute as the girl stuff to me. But I figured out my problem. I don't particularly like stuff with sports or transportation (cars, trains, planes...) on them but I LOVE stuff with animals. Hence my good finds today. It feels nice to have found some stuff I like. So yes, I am a baby boy clothes snob. Don't get me wrong however, I am more cheap than I am snobbish. A free is football shirt is always better than paying for my own monkey jammies. So there is my excitement for the day. Aren't you glad you visited this site today?

Vampire Princess

Mesha got some vampire teeth in a goody bag a few days ago and we decided to see if she would wear them. I laughed the hardest I have in a long time.
I vant to suck your blood!

Carving Pumpkins

Mesha loved trying to put her pumpkin back together like a puzzle after I carved it for her. She liked the goo too. She ate a little bit. Yuck.
Daddy and Mesha. The finished products. Dad's is the butt chin guy (this pumpkin was chosen solely for that purpose). Mesha's is in the middle and mine on the right end.

23 Weeks

The latest belly picture. I never believed in old wives tales untill now. This baby boy is so high! It doesn't really look like it but it sure feels like it.

F.H.E.

Tonight for F.H.E. we made a pie. I helped Mesha measure and add the sugar to the crust and she "helped" me roll it out. What a cute little family!

Ward Halloween Party

Our ward's Halloween party was this last Saturday. Mesha was a pricess (duh), I was an albino Geisha, and Sterling a last minute football player.

Mesha LOVED the carnival games. Her favorite was the bowling. Except she didn't use the ball. It was much more effective I think.
Mom and Mesha :)

Pumpkin Patch

Our anual playgroup trip to Oak Glen was so different from last year. Last year it was cold and beautiful, this year was hot and the pumkins were on the squishy side. Mesha is so big I can't get over it. A year ago I had to prop her agaisnt the pumpkins to take a picture and this year she was doing her best to pick every single one up.

It's official

I'm a blogger. I hope the few happenings of our little family don't bore any of you to death. I will try my best to keep this thing going and updated. Cross my heart, hope to die, stick a needle in my eye. Anyway, check in on us from time to time and don't let this become a reason to not call or e-mail me or I WILL remove it! ADB, I hope this makes your day!
