2 Years!

My beautiful Mesha Mae turned two on the 14th. I know it's cliche to say but I can't believe how big she is. I'm so impressed with myself. Two years and she is alive and thriving! We had a little party with a Curious George theme.

We got Mesha her favorite thing in the world, balloons. Best $4 I ever spent.

I got the idea for this monkey cake from my sister. Cute huh? Do you like the 'dimple' Mesha made for the little guy?

This is Mesha telling me she is two, not flashing her gangsta guns (unless you are Mitch then yes she is and I taught her how to do this just for your sake).

I guess I should have taught Mesha how to blow out candles before I put them in front of her face. Oh well.

I sure love my little girl. She makes me smile everyday. I am so impressed with how fast she learns and the cute things she figures out on her own. I love how she loves to color and how she squints her eyes and sings in church. I love the nick names and cute words she has for things. I even love trying to figure them out. Did you know that a "ni-ni" is a blanket (blankie) and "how" means help? I love how she grabs our heads and turns them when she wants our attention. I love how she loves animals and knows what they all say. I love her bright blue eyes and wild barely curly hair. I love that when I look at her I can see my Sterling. What did I do with my time and love before there was Mesha?

Milk Dreams

There is a time during a baby's day that I call milk dreams (I know, I'm weird). After they have just eaten and their tummy is full of warm milk they start to drift off. On their way to dreamland they often flutter their eyes or smile in funny little bursts. Milk dreams. I caught Griff in a big smile yesterday (sorry it's a little blurry).

2 Weeks

Griffin is two weeks old today and went to church for the first time. He slept the whole time. Good boy. I can't wait to buy him little clip on ties. What a handsome little man!

Cute Mesha

I love my cute little girl.

Siblings

Here are my children. Yes that's right. Plural. More than one child. I'm still getting used to the words. Mesha is a good big sister. She doesn't have much interest in her little brother just yet but at the same time she is very gentle with him. Adding him to the family hasn't seemed to phase her much, which is good.
What baby? All I see is the TV on the wall!
Oh this baby. Ok, ok, I'll kiss him since you insist.

"I'm a Baby"

Yep, that's what she said. What am I to do with her?

Griffin: One and a Half Days Old

Here he is. He sleeps so much so this was a rare occasion to see his eyes. I think he looks a lot like his sister did. Thank you to everyone for the nice comments on the previous post. I am doing well and taking it easy. My Mom and sister came over to visit for a few days. Yay! Sterling is a huge help as well as his parents. They are making this too easy for me but I'll take it. So far so good, but I'm not so naive as to think that it will remain easy. This is just the beginning... But I sure do love that little boy. Just looking at him makes me feel more complete. He truly is a part of our family.
