My Garden

I have been meaning to post about my garden for a while.  Sterling built me a 4x16 raised garden bed and I used an existing in ground bed on the side of the house.  I am so pleased with how things are growing!  We have harvested some radishes already and everything else is growing well.

Beans and peas in the back and strawberries, watermelon, cucumbers, summer squash, zucchini, and pumpkins in the front.  The gigantic plant on the right is Griffin's pumpkin.  He started it in sunbeams in a red plastic cup and it has gone nuts.  He loves it.
The middle is full of tomatoes (cherry and super boy).  I also have basil, parsley, sage, radishes, lettuce (romaine), kale, dill, cilantro, green onions, and carrots.  I have some peppers in the house that I will transplant later (they like it hot).
Some more of the same in pots from our patio garden days.
This is my attempt at making our house not look like its been a rental for the last 5 years.  I hope they fill in a little more over the years.
I can't wait till the irises are big enough to bloom, maybe next year.  My neighbor gave me the bulbs for the irises and the hostas.
Sorry if this post is really boring but this is my one of my few hobbies and I wanted to show it off!

Your garden is awesome, Kierstin! I wish I had a knack for it the way you seem to. Ty and I keep trying to get one started, but so far it's all been theoretical. I'm also a little scared I'm going to kill anything I grow. Looks like you guys will have a yummy harvest!
