Charlotte

Sorry for the delay in posting, we have been busy!  We are here in Charlotte, North Carolina.  Traveling went well, I flew with the girls and Sterling drove with Griffin.  It worked out great.  The boys got some good man time in and I didn't have to spend hours and hours in a car with a baby.  Mesha loved flying.  During take off she was saying things like "This is the best day ever!" and "Weeeeeeeeee".  We got some good laughs.

We have settled in to our temporary apartment.  It is very nice and fancy.  We even have a one car garage!  As nice as the place is it is still an apartment.  We have already received a noise complaint. Apparently there is non stop running and jumping coming from us between the hours of 6am-9pm.  Yep, that sounds about right.  Hence the reason I am so tired all the time...  I thought our neighbors would be little more understanding.  They have 3 kids as well.  I guess the moral of the story is live on the top floor.  Or buy a house.

We bought a house!  Seriously.  OK so we haven't closed yet but we found one we liked well enough and put an offer in.  We are under contract right now so I feel a little tentative to put a lot of information about it online so you will hear more about it later.  We are ecstatic/scared.  I have wanted to buy a house so badly I could cry but it's definitely intimidating to spend your literal life savings on one thing.  If all goes well we close on July 12th, happy birthday to me!  It is not our dream house but it is good, and I love the area.  I think we will thrive in it.

Sterling's sister, Hilary, came to visit us.  She just moved to DC and took the bus to come see us.  I love when family visits.  The kids always have a lot of fun too.  Today we went to the Levine Museum of the New South.  It was all about North Carolina and even specifically Mecklenburg County history.
We also went to a park that had a train.  Griffin was in heaven.

We are loving North Carolina.  The weather so far is great, the scenery is beautiful, people are friendly and have cool accents, I live right next to a Target, and life is good.  We miss Connecticut but are very excited about where we are now.
