Prom

My baby brother went to his senior prom yesterday. Yes I am old. But I don't miss high school and I am glad it is almost over for him. PS: Isn't Washington BEAUTIFUL!?! I love it.

Kelsey Creek Farm

My sister and I took our kiddos to Kelsey Creek Farm. It is a little working farm with about 7 animals. I kinda like how small it is because I always feel obligated to see every animal and this way I can do it in 15 minutes! Mesha loves animals, her cousins and playgrounds so this was a pretty good day for her! I had fun too.

The boy and his Daddy (Griff turned 3 months old that day!)
The mom and the boy.
Julia and Uncle Sterlin'.
"Chickens. Buk buk buk"
Feeding a horse.
Two little blondies.

Random Pictures

Here are some random pictures I thought were bloggerific.
A Mother's Day nap on the trampoline. The umbrellas and pool noodles were Sterling's doing.
Say no to crack.
Like I said, random pictures. This makes me laugh.
Last but not least the Lilac parade. Mesha's favorite part was running around the empty streets before the parade started and the chips we bought.

4 Years and Counting

Sorry, no pictures for this post. The 7th was my and Ster's 4 year wedding anniversary. For those of you who don't know, the 4th anniversary is the fruit and flowers anniversary (traditionally) or the appliance anniversary (modernly). Sterling thinks this is a way to justify his vitamix. I say bull honkey.
But my honey did plan a fun little evening for us. He even managed to keep it a surprise! For some reason that is hard to do between the two of us. I ask too many questions and Sterling has a hard time caring. Anyway. We enlisted Grandma and Grandpa to babysit the kidos and went out to eat at my favorite place, The Olive Garden. Yay! We splurged and got our own entrees (rather than splitting one). I even tried something new. Go Kierstin.
After dinner Sterling kinda drove all around. I thought he was trying to confuse me but I later found out he had to revert to plan B for the location for the next part of the date. He pulled up to this dead end road in the middle of nowhere and said we were going to make out. I laughed and said yeah right. Then he went to the trunk and started tossing pillows and blankets into the backseat (keep it clean people) along with some sodas, chips, a laptop, and a DVD. The funniest part was this little contraption he made to hold the laptop, I'll try to explain it. It is a 2x4 with 4 notches cut into it (two on one end and two on the other on alternate sides of the board) made to fit around the metal posts of the headrests. Does that make sense? If not never mind, it's not that important it just made me laugh. Silly boy. Creative little cat.
So we snuggled and watched The Curious Case of Benjamin Button until the cops showed up. No I'm not joking. Someone called it in. Jerks. But the cop didn't care and said we were fine.
That was our little date. Sterling said it was fun to see me relaxed for once. I guess I need to work on being a fun mom instead of a stressed mom. But I sure did have fun with my husband. 4 years down, many more to come!

Monkey Momma

Mesha is a funny girl. She watches me like a hawk too. I don't realize it until I see her doing what I do. The other day I found her playing Mommy to her pink monkey.

She made sure to give him a good wipe to get all the monkey poo off.

She put on a fresh new diaper. Not just any diaper. It's a monkey diaper, look closely.

With a nice clean butt the monkey is now ready to be rocked to sleep. What a good monkey momma!
